BOSTON EVENTS – GREATER BOSTON EVENT CALENDAR
Boston is a great place to be if you love culinary events and food, but there are also many other Boston events to suit your particular interests and tastes.
BOSTON CULINARY EVENTS
On a culinary note the year starts off in Boston with a wine festival. At the Boston Wine Festival a number of different wineries come together to display their wines and each evening there is a dinner with a chance to sample some of the best wines.
Other culinary events during the course of the year include the Boston Wine Expo, Cookbook Dinearound, Boston Cooks! Show, International Boston seafood show, Chowderfest, Taste of Boston, National Recovery Month picnic, and the Vegetarian Food Festival.
BOSTON MUSICAL EVENTS
Other important Boston events include the Boston musical events such as the Jazz Festival in January, Valentine’s Day Concert, and free concerts hosted by the New England Conservatory.
BOSTON CHARITY EVENTS
Boston events for charity begin with Chi O’s “A Pot Full of Wishes” in March for the Make a Wish Foundation.
In June there is the American Liver Foundation Walk for Research which although there is no parking or registration fee, pledges are made which go towards supporting those affected by liver disease. Apart from the walk there are also a number of other activities and entertainment such as face painting, music, clowns and more.
BOSTON SPORTING EVENTS
Sporting events are often high on cities’ event calendars and Boston is no different, Starting with the College Baseball in January and Major League Baseball in April, there is also Major League Soccer and the Boston Marathon in April. In September there is the National Football League and College Football, in October the National Hockey League and in November College Basketball.
PUBLISHING GAME WORKSHOP
In May the PublishingGame.Com Workshop is held which helps provide attendees with more information about finding a literary agent, self-publishing and book promotion. This event is held at other times of the year.
BOSTON TEA PART RE-ENACTMENT
In December you can dress up in a Colonial outfit and join a number of other spectators to view a re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party took place on the 16th December 1773 and was in protest against taxation without representation.
Boston hosts many culinary events but also musical, historical, charity and other events.
