LAS VEGAS EVENTS – WHERE DO YOU FIND A LAS VEGAS EVENT TO ATTEND
Las Vegas has events to suit almost everyone – whether you are looking for sporting events, concerts, festivals, or fairs; and whether you are a Las Vegas resident or a tourist visiting Las Vegas, there is something you will enjoy.
LAS VEGAS SPORTING EVENTS
Las Vegas starts the year off with a number of sporting events including College baseball, High Roller Super Bowl, Las Vegas marathon and Tennis Channel Open.
The Las Vegas marathon starts in Sloan and the runners run into downtown Las Vegas. In addition to the running there are also plenty of parties and banquets for those who are not running. This is also a charity event and so will not only be a great day for you but will also give you a chance to contribute to others in need.
Another popular sporting event is the World Archery Festival. Tournaments, as well as an industry trade show featuring archery-related items takes place in February each year at the Riviera Hotel and Casino.
WORLD SERIES OF POKER
Perhaps one of the most well known Las Vegas events is the World Series of Poker. The entry fee to this prestigious event is one thousand dollars but you can compete for a prize of a million dollars. This event takes places in April and draws many top gamblers from across America.
MUSICAL EVENTS IN LAS VEGAS
If your idea of an enjoyable day out is listening to music, live bands and meeting with other music lovers then there are also a number of Las Vegas evens that you may enjoy including Jazz in the Park around mid-May to mid-June; Newport Pacific Jazz Festival in August; and America the Beautiful Music Festival in November.
The “America the Beautiful Music Festival” is a charity event taking place in November each year in aid of Veterans helping Veterans and includes live bands, games, glass blowing, as well as craft and food vendors.
ART IN THE PARK
Art in the Park is one of the Las Vegas events that will particularly appeal to those art enthusiasts. A number of artists, jewellers, portrait painters and others involved in the arts and crafts get together to display their creations. Proceeds help to benefit the Boulder City Hospital Foundation.
THE PLACE TO BE FOR IT
If you are passionate about IT and computer systems and software then Las Vegas’ COMDEX is the place to be in about mid-November. At this fair computer software providers and service providers launch products, display their wares and give advice on IT purchases and industry trends.
NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTIES IN LAS VEGAS
Then, to close off the year, there are a number of New Year’s Eve celebrations including New Year’s Eve on the Strip and New Year’s Eve Downtown. The New Year’s Eve Downtown event includes live bands and fireworks at the Fairmont Street arcade.
