OKLAHOMA CITY EVENTS – EVENTS IN OKLAHOMA FOR YOU TO ATTEND
Oklahoma City events start with “Opening Night” which is the New Year’s Eve Celebration in Downtown Oklahoma City and ends with the annual O’Reilly All-College Classic Basketball Tournament. Between these two events there are also many other events that appeal to a diverse audience and has something for everybody.
OPENING NIGHT
Opening night is the New Year’s Eve event on the Oklahoma City events calendar and as such starts on the 31st December and extends into the 1st January. This event is hosted by the Arts Council of Oklahoma City. The event starts at 7pm on the 31st and fireworks are scheduled for the strike of midnight, after which the event comes to a close. Wristbands are used as an entrance ticket and can be purchased for $8 from as early as the 23rd November, or for $10 on the night.
OKLAHOMA CITY PHILHARMONIC CONCERTS
Starting in January the Oklahoma City Philharmonic puts on a number of different musical performances. Concerts are held between September to May each year and include the Classics in January as well as other Pops, Discovery Family and other holiday concerts. If music is your thing then be sure to find out what Philharmonic concerts are going to be performing when you are in Oklahoma city.
INTERNATIONAL FINALS RODEO WITH THE MISS RODEO USA PAGEANT
Since 1969 the International Finals Rodeo has been held which is the rodeo championships including bull riding, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling and more. This event occurs in January at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds Arena. Along with this international finals rodeo there is also the crowning of Miss Rodeo USA who is a young lady between the ages of 18 and 24 representing a rodeo, stock contractor, producer or other sponsor.
OKLAHOMA CITY INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW
For those auto enthusiasts looking for Oklahoma City events there is the Oklahoma City International Auto Show that takes place in March. In addition to the great car displays and exhibits there is also a children’s play area and a skateboarding show and more. The entrance fee for the show is $7 for adults and $3 for children and tickets may be bought online at the OKC Auto Show website.
ANNUAL MEDIEVAL FAIR
Since 1976 a Medieval fair has been held in Oklahoma City. This fair really does take you back to the Middle Ages with costume contests, human chess games and jousting. In addition to this there are many other activities and more entertainment to create a great time for the whole family. ARTS FESTIVAL OKLAHOMA

Here you can purchase original artwork and crafts and listen to live performances, while experiencing a variety of different cultures.
