SAN DIEGO EVENTS – SAN DIEGO EVENT CALENDAR
San Diego has many events throughout the course of the year to appeal to a diverse audience. These San Diego events include sporting events, cultural events, antiques fairs, film festivals and much more. There is something to suit everybody in San Diego.
SAN DIEGO SPORTING EVENTS
San Diego sporting events start in January with College baseball, the Buick Invitational, and San Diego Marathon. Other San Diego events for the sporting enthusiast include the Accenture Match Play/World Golf Championship, Major league baseball, lake fishing, the annual Crew Classic Regatta, Del Mar National Horse Show, NAMI San Diego county 5k run/walk and more.
SAN DIEGO ANTIQUES EVENTS
There are also a number of San Diego events for those who love antiques and history. In January, April and November there is the Del Mar Antique Show and Sale where dealers display antique furniture, jewellery, silver, pottery, art and more. You can also come to this show if you have an antique that you would like to have evaluated.
SAN DIEGO FILM FESTIVALS
The San Diego events calendar also includes a number of film festivals including the San Diego Black Film Festival, annual Jewish Film Festival, International Film Festival, San Diego Latino Film Festival, and San Diego Asian Film Festival. These film festivals between them present a broad spectrum of films to suit most tastes.
SAN DIEGO MUSICAL EVENTS
The Adams Avenue Roots Festival of Music is a musical event where live folk, blues and ethnic music performances are enjoyed. There are also a number of other San Diego events catering to music lovers such as Concerts on the Green in May, Imperial Beach Chilli and Jazz Festival, Mainly Mozart festival, Chula Vista Music in the Park, Harlem West Festival, Annual Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay, San Diego Blues Festival, and Summergrass San Diego Bluegrass festival. These are just a few of the many musical events taking place in San Diego.
LINDA VISTA MULTI-CULTURAL FAIR AND PARADE
The Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade is a celebration of the diversity of cultures. There are three different stages showcasing international performers, a Kids Zone and ethnic food court. There are also a number of traditional craft demonstrations.
SAN DIEGO CULINARY EVENTS
If you love your food then you will love San Diego’s culinary events. These start in January with the San Diego Restaurant Week where there are great deals on at many restaurants throughout the city; In April there is the San Diego Taste of the Nation event that includes a silent auction of dining certificates, gourmet cooking classes and chefs competitions. These San Diego events and a number of other culinary events are a real delight for the taste buds.
